Woman Makes Incredible Alien And Groot Gingerbread Sculptures
Christmas implies drinking hot choccy in front of the fireplace with your loved ones around you. But most of all, Christmas indicates gingerbread cookies! Now, there are some people who build gingerbread homes, which is all well and good. However have you ever tried making something … bigger?
Well, Norwegian food artist and movement designer Caroline Eriksson has! And her styles are much, much bigger than you ‘d anticipate when you hear the word ‘gingerbread.’
Every Christmas, she creates and bakes exceptionally detailed (and scrumptious) gingerbread sculptures. This year, she made Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Which may even be more outstanding than in 2015’s creation– the Xenomorph from “Alien.” Grab yourselves some gingerbread cookies, scroll down for Bored Panda’s interview with the artist, and delight in.
And when you’re done ‘snacking’ on this post, examine out our previous short article about Caroline’s remarkable Smaug sculpture from “The Hobbit.”
Here’s Caroline’s fantastic Xenomorph gingerbread sculpture from last year
Caroline has baked gingerbread statues because 2013 when she won a Norwegian baking contest, and every year she surprises her fans with new and outstanding gingerbread art.
For this Christmas, Caroline made a gingerbread variation of Groot from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

It took the artist around 5 weeks to make Groot, and she needed to include lots of syrup and flour to make the dough thick enough to support the sculpture. She even developed the gingerbread sculpture around a metal frame to ensure that it wouldn’t collapse.
“To make gingerbread houses has been a tradition in my household every Christmas given that I was little bit,” Caroline informed Bored Panda.
“But ultimately, I got tired of developing houses and began building other things like boats and towers,” she stated. “In 2013, I entered a contest, ‘Construct Norway’s craziest gingerbread home and win 40,000 Norwegian krone [4,505 dollars] and had the concept to develop a Transformer.”
“I won the contest which’s where it started! Now, every year, I attempt to challenge myself to construct something more tough and break the borders for what can be done in this product!” Caroline discussed to us.
“My motivation originates from motion pictures, pop culture! I specifically like dream and sci-fi, I’m a huge movie-nerd,” the artist revealed.
