Sarah Michelle Gellar is an Emmy Award-winning actress from New York City. She was born on April 14, 1977 – the daughter of Rosellen and Arthur Gellar, a teacher and factory worker respectively.
She was discovered while dining at a local restaurant when she was just four years old. Not long after she was starring in her first movie, An Invasion of Privacy in 1983. She has appeared in many movies, TV commercials, and stage plays, but she’s probably best known for her role of Buffy Summers on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. She’s also remembered for starring in teen horror films like I Know What you Did Last Summer and Scream 2.
Since then she has starred in films like Cruel Intentions in 1999 and Scooby-Doo in 2002. She appeared alongside Robin Williams and James Wolk in 2013 in the television series The Crazy Ones. These days Gellar is busy raising her two children with her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.
