Arthur Steven Lange Jr. was born on October 11, 1967, to Judy and Arthur Lange Sr. Raised in New Jersey, Artie worked as a taxi driver to support his family. However, after the death of his quadriplegic father, he began working as a stand-up comedian and moved to New York City to pursue his dreams. In 1995, he was offered the sketch comedy series Mad TV. He was on the show for over two years. He, then, joined The Howard Stern Show as the third mic in 2001 and stayed with the show until 2009. During this time, Lange also released two comedy albums, came up with his first feature film titled Beer League, and also launched his first book titled Too Fat to Fish. In 2010, his career went into a pause mode after he attempted suicide under the influence of drugs. He spent a considerable amount of time in rehab and finally came out clean. He, thereafter, started his own podcast and registered decent success with it.
