Pierce Brosnan was born on May 16th, 1953 in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland to Thomas and May Brosnan. His father was a carpenter, and his mother was a nurse. Sadly, his life growing up was troubled. His father left when he was only an infant, and after that, he was passed around family members for several years. His humble and tumultuous meant that his eventual fame came as quite a shock to his family. He began his acting career in 1979, although it was a long and winding road before he found his footing in film.
