It’s expected there will be a huge uptake in appeals after nearly 40 percent of those meant to take their A-Levels – around 280,000 students – had their projected results downgraded.
Ofqual has released a statement saying the criteria it had previously published for students hoping to use their mock exams in their appeal is now "being reviewed".
