If there’s one person whose American Idol audition stirred headlines it’s TikTok star, Claudia Conway. She’s the daughter of former White House advisor to Donald Trump Kellyanne Conway and noted anti-Trump critic George Conway.
Perhaps more than any recent contestant, she caught the media’s eye due to her parents’ differing views on the 45th American President, their marriage woes, and her relationship with them.
Siding with her father, Claudia Conway was a fervent critic of Donald Trump’s presidency. This clashed with her mother’s job as Trump’s advisor from 2017 to 2020. Identifying as a liberal, she was brought to the spotlight because of her differing political views from her conservative parents.

Then, it was her performance of “When We Were Young,” by Adele that won the judges over and took her to the next round.
Her father was outside the audition room and was in tears as he heard her sing. Her mother gave her a pep talk remotely to prepare her for the audition.
