Half a million people evacuated in Oregon over US wildfires

Homes, streets, and in some cases entire towns have been destroyed by wildfires raging across the US West Coast.

In Oregon, half a million people – 10 percent of the state’s population – have been evacuated from their homes.

California’s governor, Gavin Newson, said the wildfires are worsening each year because of climate change.
