Helen Keller International (HKI) recognizes that eyeglasses are as essential to learning as pen, paper and books. Their innovative ChildSight® program serves at-risk children living in urban and rural poverty in five states across the country by offering free vision screenings and eyeglasses to "bring education into focus™".
New York Program Manager Tanya Daniels loves to see how new glasses can boost the confidence and self esteem of the Middle School and High School students across the city. "My favorite part of the job is Dispensing Day", she noted. "This is the day when the students receive their eyeglasses and they are so excited to see everything around the room."
ChildSight® overcomes the two biggest barriers to childhood vision care: prohibitive cost and limited access. This is a game changer for students who were struggling with a physical limitation to now have the capability to reach their full potential.

This video was produced by students of Pace University’s Digital Video Field Production class under the direction of Dr. Maria Luskay, Professor. This class is part of the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences Master of Arts in Media and Communication Arts program. The class was put into production teams to produce videos for OnlyGood TV as part of their curriculum. This is the second year OnlyGood TV and Pace have produced videos together.
