Fans of the television franchise The Bachelor are likely well aware of the oftentimes scandalous nature of the show’s contestants, as well as each season’s titular bachelors. If the character weren’t interesting, the audience might not tune in. However, the quest to find new and interesting contestants and bachelors for the show has lead to some dubious characters taking to the screen. Over the course of the series, there have been numerous instances when either a contestant or a titular bachelor has been revealed to have a criminal record and at least one mugshot in their past.

While many of these arrests and mugshots came from DUIs, there are also some that came from more severe and interesting crimes. These crimes include shoplifting and domestic battery.
