We often talk about dangerous adventures, roller coasters, and all sorts of creepy places that some of you want to avoid while some others are dying to try. But sometimes, the most dangerous things are those things that we take for granted. Small actions or little things we have at home can be the ones able to cause some major trouble in our lives if we’re not careful. Essential Oils

A lot of people are finding comfort in essential oils. Different oils have different benefits that can make our lives easier. Some of them can help reduce anxiety and some others can help relieve tension and other problems such as nausea, headaches, and even bug bites. Then how come essential oils are on this list? Well, while they’re good for us, they can be terribly bad for our animal friends. For example, eucalyptus essential oil can be bad for your dog. If they ingest it they can experience diarrhea, vomiting, and sometimes even seizures. So, if you use essential oils, make sure you keep them away from your pet’s reach. They might be good for you, but very bad for them.

Cat Scratches

Make sure you don’t get on your cat’s nerves. And be careful with the way you play with them. A single scratch might seem harmless, but it can produce something called “Cat-Scratch Fever.” If you notice you’re feeling a bit more tired than usual, or if you have a headache or a fever after getting scratch by your cat, then you now know where these symptoms come from. Your cat’s saliva and claws are capable of infecting your body with dangerous bacteria. So please, never take a scratch for granted.

If you associate fall season with a flavor, then it’s probably some sort of dish or drink that includes nutmeg. Don’t worry if you’re using it to season your dish, as you’re probably only using a little bit to add some flavor. Just please, don’t eat it in large amounts!

Roasting some marshmallows or just spending a bit of quality time with loved ones by a wood fire sounds appealing to many of us who are now experiencing harsh cold conditions. But be careful, wood fire is said to have pollutants that can be bad for the health. The American Heart Association published an article in which they state their concerns as some of the particles that are released by the wood fires can be bad for people with asthma and in some cases they can even trigger heart attacks. That’s why some authorities are against the use of wood fire devices unless they’re certified and they can guarantee that your health is safe.

Candles

Speaking of fire, candles are also part of this list due to their dangerous nature. It goes without saying, a candle should never be left burning while you go out of your home or if you go to bed. If you do that, the thing could easily cause a huge fire that you won’t be able to contain. But that’s not all, some guy who was a candle tester says that some of them are capable of exploding inside the glass they come in. So, use your candles as you wish, but don’t take your eyes off them!
